More and more people are finding out about renewable energy, these days, whether it’s passive solar, active solar or reduce home energy bills.
Much of what is presented is either a waste of paper or a load of impractical theories, so when it came to homemade solar panel systems I was very guarded.
What I saw, confirmed my beliefs, a fair bit of what is written is way beyond most people, there were though a few publications that offered genuine, well researched and practical information.
Amongst the group, the best of these would be Earth4Energy, which clearly details how to construct a combination solar and wind power system, ideal for the average home.
The designs are predominately based around recyclable materials, so doesn’t kill the bank balance to construct, in fact you will probably have the wind generator built in the first weekend. The solar panel may take a little longer, by the time you have located the necessary bits and pieces, but don’t forget what you will save long term.
For the average homeowner this package offers a wealth of information, instructions, pictures and diagrams which will allow virtually anyone to put together a renewable power system, {comprising both wind and solar power, that will generate power from both solar and wind}.
These systems are not destined for mansions and don’t expect the first system you build to be able to generate enough power for your entire requirements, it won’t unless you are very frugal, it is not designed to achieve that, but it could slash upto 30% on your power bills. That is just the start, once you know how to build one, just build another.
This publication is an excellent piece of work, written by a man who lives what he preaches and even if you are only just starting to think about building a renewable energy system, this book will inspire you to take the first steps.
