Homemade Wind Generator Drum

Is it possible to construct a $100 wind turbine and from it obtain the equivalant of one gallon gasoline?

I was discussing with an adversary of mine the possibility of this. I think it is possible over a period of time for a small wind generator to produce the same amount of energy that a gallon of gas will produce.
I saw a homemade wind turbine done with 50 gallon drums on Youtube. It was very practical and easy to build. My question is. What is the length of time that it would take to generate the same amount of energy from a gallon of gasoline?

There are many ways to (potentially) build an electricity generating turbine for $100 or less.

Comparing the energy derived from the turbine to the energy derived from a gallon of gas would depend on the efficiency of the engine burning the gas. Since no engine is 100% efficient, only a small portion of the gasoline's potential energy would be turned into work/force or electricity, while the rest would be lost as heat.
