Windmills??

how do they take the rotational energy and turn it into electricity..?

I need a detailed explanation please :)

Im try to do make an invention.. we have to do it in our english class and mine requires me knowing somethign about this topi c ..

The rotational energy is applied to a generator, either directly or via gears. The rotating magnets (in a simplified version) in the generator create electricity.
