With a solar power system, you can lower or even completely eliminate your monthly electricity bill. The latest solar power systems are exceptionally affordable, very efficient, and easy to install. One of the latest upgrades is the addition of micro inverters to solar panels. There are different kinds of solar power inverters. Check out Solar Power Inverter for more info regarding solar power inverters.

In most cases, solar systems share the same basic configuration. The solar panels are placed on the roof of the home, or in a location where they will be exposed to as much sun as possible. This is because they will produce DC electricity when exposed to sunlight.

The solar panels then transfer the DC electricity to an inverter, which is usually located near the home’s electrical panel. Among other things, the inverter works to convert DC electricity to AC, which can then be used in the home.

One of the inconvenient points up until now with solar power systems has been the power loss that is suffered while the power is being routed from the panels to the inverter. Power loss is especially common with low voltage DC electricity. The only solution in the past was just to produce more power to compensate for the loss.

The answer to the problem of power loss is now here, in the form of solar micro inverters. Micro inverters are small inverters that enclosed within the panels themselves, performing the DC to AC conversion on the spot. This means you no longer require an oversized solar power system. Once the electricity has been converted to AC, it won’t lose as much power as it travels along the wires. This also means that you can now add to your system more easily, as you can increase the number of panels whenever you decide, without having to worry about upgrading your inverter. The up-front cost of these new solar panels is a little higher, but they’re actually more affordable in the long run, as they’re so much more efficient.

Solar charge controllers are required by virtually all solar power systems that involve the use of batteries. Solar charge controllers work to regulate the power as it moves from the solar panels to the batteries. If you want information about solar charge controllers, read Solar Charge Controller.

  1. power inverters these days are quite efficient and does not generate so much heat:`.
