3 Types of Solar Panels - Complete Explanation and Their Correct Purposes
Solar Panels have different types and purposes there are some which are best used for vehicles and structures.
There are also panels that have different prices depending on durability and purpose. I actually think that these 3 panels have specific purposes and all three will work depending on your need and of course the proper calculation of the voltage you need to ensure that solar panels do work for all of your electricity needs and so that you won't have power shortage.
There are currently three types of solar panels available in the market today and we'll discuss each of them below.
The monocrystalline panel is made up of one big silicon crystal without any breaks and can absorb the most amount of solar energy at 18% since it works even at low light conditions. It is also the most expensive type and is advised to be used to power up entire homes for long periods of time or if it is being used as a main power source, since it will need minimal backup energy. It can absorb up to 18% of the total solar energy reflected into it.
Polycrystalline panels are the most affordable panels in the market today. They are made from small silicon crystals mashed together to form a solar panel and though they are not the most expensive ones in the market today, these panels are durable and its only downside is it does not absorb solar energy during low light conditions. It absorbs 15% of the solar energy that reflects into it and is best used for residential and commercial structures that require medium amounts of power.
The third type available in the market today is called the amorphous panel and it is the cheapest and lightest among the three types of panels today. It is made up of a silicon sheet and is best used to power up light materials like speedboats, small yachts and other vehicles that get direct sunlight. It absorbs up until 10% of solar energy reflected into it.
.These are the 3 types of solar panels available in the market today and all I can say is that 'different strokes for different folks' work best here. Since there are different budgets and uses for each of these panels and I highly suggest considering the purpose of your solar panels before you invest.
