Solar Panel Import
Does anyone know the import duty on solar panels if I import from China to the UK.?

Im importing solar panels from China the UK, I have all the details in addition to knowing how much the import tax you pay. As a renewable energy source is no exemption.

Will pay 17.5% VAT. There is a reduced VAT rate for the installation of renewable energy sources, but not for items purchased separately. There may also be customs duties. If you know the commodity code for your product, you can check the rate of stamp duty by Customs on 0845 010 9000 or look Web site below. You can also search the website description, but start with a vague search term and work your way through sub-titles. VAT and duty due will be charged the cost + insurance + load value of the panels. Usually be paid by the sender is billed for the amount due (plus a processing fee usually!)
