Solar Panels Vw Bus
why wont my solar panel make my dc motor work?
i have to do a science fair project and thought it would be cool to make a solar powered vw bus. i have 2 6volt solar panels to power a dc motor that works off of 9v 12v or 18v. i also bought a 2nd motor because the first wasnt workin for us. this one is a 3v motor. ive had them in the sun but they wont work. please help, thanks
Ok , the 3 volt motor should run, if it takes lower amps i am assuming it will
if you cant get the 6 volt solar panel to work take the two panels and connect them in parallel
this is to make one panel 6 volts but this will up the amps if both panels are the same
this is how you do it if you have red and black wire or what ever the color take the pos + wire from the one panel and the neg - wire from the other and connect them. Know you will have a hot wire from one panel + and a neg wire - from the other panel this wil be your wires just keep the others connected
this will give you more amps and may run the motor if this don't work the solar panels are junk or the motor is to big and takes more amps but ithink it will run a Little
