Homemade Windmill
Dog booties/socks?
As the weather is getting colder in Chicago I attempted to get some dog boots for my dog. She has little feet. (Boston Terrier/Pitbull) She hates them! She walks like a windmill. Does anyone have any suggestions for "homemade" booties or socks? I just need something that will keep her feet warm/dry enough so that she can be outside for atleast 5 minutes so she can go to the bathroom. I checked out a few websites that suggested duct tape, but I am not sure I like the idea of sticking tape on my dogs feet.
Go to the web site Sleddogcentral.com and click on the links for equipment-supplies. If you are handy with a sewing machine you can duplicate what you will see in the pictures. The best ones have stretch velcro but regular velcro will work. She won't like them at first. Put them on her feet and let her loose in the house so she can get used to them. Don't leave them on for too long when she isn't active because they can restrict circulation to the feet.
