Wind Generator Amp
Wind generated DC currant to AC?
I have a vertical wind generator that produces 130 volts 10 amps at 4500 rpm (about 15 mph wind). I want to connect this to the grid where can I get an inverter to do this?
Power companies are very picky (justifiably) in what they allow to connect to their power grid. So you need an inverter that has their approval. And a special power meter that runs backwards.
However, all the inverters I've seen operate from 12, 24 or 48 volts DC. Can you rewire your generator to supply a lower voltage?
